The story behind Sowly

Sowly started with a simple idea: what if you could contact someone through a physical object — without knowing who they are? From lost keys to parked cars, we wanted a way to connect without compromising privacy.
The idea really came to life when my girlfriend lost her car keys. A stranger found them but had no way to reach her — no tag, no note, no context. That day stuck with me. I realized how often we miss chances to help each other because we lack a safe, anonymous way to connect.
We weren’t looking to build another app. We were looking to build a bridge — powered by QR codes and designed for moments just like that. No accounts. No tracking. Just human connection made simple.
I'm building Sowly solo — but not alone. One of my closest friends, a brilliant backend developer, helps me architect the system. Another, a talented graphic designer, brings the brand to life. Together, we’re keeping it fast, focused, and personal.
Our tech stack is lightweight but powerful: FastAPI, React, PostgreSQL, Redis. Everything is built with performance and privacy in mind.
Sowly is still growing. But every day we see how useful it can be — from reuniting people with lost items to enabling quick, respectful communication between strangers. It's all about connection without exposure.
If that resonates with you — we’d love to hear your story too.
